Today is my 5th mothers day being a mom. So far this day has been not the best...insomnia, stupid insurance companies, migraines, and retarded waiters have made my day less then ideal. However, that does not change the fact that I love being a mom and that usually mothers day is my favorite day of the year. It is a great day where I can sit back, let Chris do all the work and simply enjoy my family. It still amazes me that there were no people there and now there are. Two amazing kids who are making me more and more of the person that I want to be. Motherhood is by far the hardest thing I have ever done-it has challenged me in how I think of every part of my life and pushed me to know what I believe, why I make the choices I do, and what kind of role model I want to be for my kids. This year has been especially difficult as I cannot be the person I want to be all the time. It amazes me how not feeling well changes everything in your life. However, through this me and my kids have learned to take it easier, to not stress about the small things and to just relax and take care of each other. Hopefully this next year (and even the rest of this day) will be better and me and my kids will learn that my love for them will not ever dwindle even if the way I have to show it changes.
Trying my hand at taking a photo everyday this year so we can remember hat actually happened and how this upcoming year has changed us.

Well another resolution that is not happening
Well as any of you that are still paying attention have realized, I have not been keeping up on my blog. I found that we were just taking a bunch of the same pictures and not too many things that had meaning. I also just got lazy. So.....I will be keeping the blog but not posting pics everyday. So since we went to disnyland things have been busy but good. On my health front not much has changed. They still don't know what is going on and have been trying some different meds but they have not helped and I have been having some bad side effects so I am stopping those. We will see what happens with this doctor as I have one more test and then a follow up appointment, have that though I think we will just be in the maintance stage and learn how to deal with this better. So we are moving on....and that leads me to my big next step. I am taking CNA classes starting April 27th! It is a six week course, part time and it is one step I am taking to getting my RN. It has taken me a long time to fully commit that this is what I want to do, but I am sure now and we are moving ahead. It will be busy and I'm not sure what I am going to do schedule wise or job wise once I am in the RN program but that is further down the road than I am looking. I have my CNA classes then Human Anatomy this summer then Human Physiology and Elementary Chemisty this fall. Hopefully by that time I will have a job as a CNA and get some experience. I am really excited for this next phase. Please be praying that we are following God's path and that the kids adjust well to the upcomin changes.

What a great day. Chris is such an amazing husband. he let me sleep in, as Lily has been having a hard time at night and probably woke up 7 or more times last night. So I was able to sleep in, go shopping at Costco with the fam, then Jackson had a birthday party. He is finally getting to the age where we can drop him off and not have to supervise so I took advantage and went to the movies. I saw Lovely Bones...it kept me interested but that was about it. however, having 2 hours to just sit and watch a movie was amazing!

We finally found a school for Jackson AND Lily today! Its Challanger in Farmington. They have a great curriculum, fun activities and is in the medium price range. We are so exstatic. They also have a program specifically for kids who are around the age cut off so it is more advanced that preschool but not kindergarten. YAY!!!!!

Well its been one month, and while I am not the best at posting them right away at least this blog is getting accomplished. My two other new years resolutions are not going as well. I was going to give up soda....not only have I started drinking it again but am also back on the artificial sweetner, which has made my memory suck. I don't know why I have such a hard time with it, just one of those things that I love that I just can't let go of even though it is bad for me. My other resolution was to read the Bible in a year. I did well for a while but have signed up for a class at the Bible at my church and have counted that as my Bible reading. anyway onto the picture. We went to Kangaroo Zoo again on Monday and some stupid kid hit Lily in the mouth with a chair. She came crying to me with blood all over the place. poor kiddo, but she got right back out there.

Lily slept for the first time today in her big girl bed. She did well the first night. I can't believe that she is getting so big! She was trying to climb out of her crib so even though I wasn't ready, she was. I have to say the decorating is a lot of fun and it was great to be able to go shopping with her, its only going to get better!

Little bit of a rough day today. I continue to be in a lot of pain and there have been insurance mix ups and faxing issues that have made it so I am not able to get the test done that could lead to me finally figuring what is going on. I am just ready for all of this to be over. It is heartbreaking when all your son prays for at night is for 'mommy's tummy to feel better."

Our kids are nuts, I hadn't realized how big Jackson has gotten. We also looked at two schools today and are trying to figure out if he should go to Kindergarten or go to preschool another year. His birthday is close to the cutoff, and now that Realms is closing it is a hard decision. Everything is so expensive, and we are looking for schools for Lily as well. We obviously did not think about having two kids in preschool at the same time. At least when they are in college they have financial aid and scholorships but some of the schools we are looking at are 10,000$ a year, that is more a month than our mortgage!

I love sleeping kids. They look so peaceful. Jackson is great when he sleeps because he doesn't hear or move at all. Lily however tends to wake up quickly so you can't spy on her too much. This last week it has been hard with Lily as she has been getting her 2 year old molars and beeng crying in her sleep quite a bit, which doesn't seem to wake her up, but definitly has been disturbing mine.
